PRESERVED between the image and the word
A collaborative response to the Bell Pettigrew Collection by artists Kyra Clegg, Patricia Bray, Elaine Allison and poet Anna Crowe
The Bell Pettigrew Museum of Natural History in St Andrews has proved a rich resource for visual artists Elaine Allison, Patricia Bray, Kyra Clegg and poet Anna Crowe who have responded in a variety of ways and media to the collection.
The treasures on display have inspired an exciting cross-fertilization of ideas and an ongoing dialogue between the image and the word, resulting in this multi-media exhibition which includes painting, poetry, printmaking, sculpture and video, and reflects the vision of the Bell Pettigrew Collection and the Preservation Trust Museum.
The images are of work I made for the group exhibition.
